Three places to visit for Momo Lovers in Thane

Hello Food Lovers. If you live in India you would most likely know that there is a wide craze in India for momos. It is considered the top street food in India and has a market size of approximately 3 billion dollars. It is believed that momos came to India at the start of the latter half of the 20th Century when Tibetans came to the country.

Over a decade ago, They used to be either fried or steamed. But nowadays, We can get them in tandoori, as a momo-pizza, pan-tossed, and in many other forms. There are many big chains as well: Wow Momos, Momo Co., Mad Momos, etc which are pretty well-loved across India.

So, Today I am going to let you in on my favorite momo spots in Thane.

1. The appetite Momos

First on my list is of course The Appetite Momos. This list would be incomplete without them. I have been eating their momos since my high school days when they had this small little box-sized shop near Thane station and It used to be jam-packed. People used to come all the way from Dadar and CST. They serve steamed and fried momos and their spicy chutney is to die for. They have numerous outlets in Thane now. You should definitely check them out.

2. Simply Asia

This is a fairly new place that opened at the Vasant Vihar. They serve gyoza which is Japanese Momos that are very delicious and stuffed within an inch of their life. I have been there a few times and I always order them. The sauce is a little on the salty side though so take precaution of that. Also, This is a little on the pricier side.

3. Darjeeling Momos

They started with a stall (which is still running at Vasant Vihar) and opened many outlets in Thane later on. hands down the best tandoori momos I have ever had. But they do serve many other types of momos which are really good.

If you have already been to these places or have other good places in mind, then please share your thoughts in the comments.
